Hallock Fellowship details

Each year we chose a topic of focus and develop a Fellowship project based on our needs and the experience of the Hallock Fellow.

Each year we chose a topic of focus and develop a Fellowship project based on our needs and the experience of the Hallock Fellow.  The Fellowship begins in the fall and lasts up to 300 hours, or 25-30 hours per week over 10 weeks.  The position includes hourly compensation and Fellows are contracted as temporary employees of Sustainable Northwest.  Any travel expenses directly related to the completion of the Fellowship project is paid by Sustainable Northwest.


Eligibility & desired qualifications

The Hallock Fellowship is for individuals pursuing a graduate degree, or individuals with undergraduate degrees and some relevant work experience. Coursework in natural resources, environmental science, public policy, planning and administration, economics, energy, or a related field is required. Excellent writing and research skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and produce results in sustainable natural resource use, economic development, collaborative decision-making and/or the integration of these subjects is required.
