FY2010 Annual Report

Sustainable Northwest’s contributions to the rural sustainability movement were significant. Pipe dreams and seemingly inexorable challenges are quickly giving way to exceptional accomplishments;
small acts of courage and cooperation are “adding up” to regional initiatives that create solutions to landscape-scale forest and range health issues, while also creating stability and long-term economic opportunity.

FY2008 Annual Statement

Our Klamath Basin program has helped transform a region plagued by dispute to one where formerly opposed groups are working together. Our Policy program provided briefing documents to the transition team of the Obama administration. We launched Sustainable Northwest Wood, a for-profit business that connects local sustainable wood-products manufacturers with local green builders.

FY2007 Annual Statement

In 2007 we continued to ensure the sound management of natural resources and long-term viability of local economies in our region, by supporting rural communities and their efforts to maintaining the health of the environment through conservation.
