Eastern Idaho Biomass Energy Workshop

This workshop is part of the Idaho Statewide Wood Energy Team project, a collaborative agency, business, and non-profit effort to develop biomass clusters that complement forest restoration activities in Idaho. Examples include projects that can provide heat and power to schools, hospitals, commercial buildings and industrial facilities. Participating projects will be eligible to receive technical assistance and resources to help with evaluation and early stage development. 

Who will be attending the workshop?

Key project players, including developers and funders, community members, state and federal agency staff, fuel suppliers, existing and prospective facility managers, and more.

Learn how successful biomass energy systems are designed and managed, and discuss opportunities for new projects in eastern Idaho. Community members, developers, and experts from across the region will come together to promote biomass utilization as a way to lower heating costs, enhance forest health, and improve rural economies.

Directions from Salmon, ID: Drive 45.8 miles via US-93 N to Lost Trail Pass. Entrance to Lost Trail Ski Area is at the top of pass on the West side of highway just past the rest area.
