HFHC is committed to building market opportunities for our partners and enhancing their capacity.  We provide the following tools and strategies to our members:

Tools

  • Marketing - Marketing is a major key to success for a small business.  HFHC helps to link the urban market to the local manufacturer.

  • Capacity Building and Other Services - HFHC ensures that Partner businesses establish connections to peer businesses, potential suppliers, and customers.

Strategies

To accomplish our objectives and serve the various type of businesses in the Partnerhsip, HFHC has developed 4 distincitive strategies:

  1. Help HFHC partners make professional contacts and access financial and technical resources.

  2. Build relationships between HFHC businesses and regional buyers of sustainable wood products.

  3. Connect wood from restoration and sustainable forest management practices to HFHC manufacturing partners.

  4. Develop new ways to market the by-products of forest restoration work

Overheard...

“SNW’s continuing work on national policy issues, particularly through the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition, is beginning to have measurable impacts in the community of Hayfork. We're beginning to achieve important community wildfire protection and forest restoration objectives while also providing work for local contractors and wood for value-added manufacturing."
