Panel 2: Availability of supply from the woods and municipal solid waste

Speakers discussed existing federal, state, and private land assessments of forest conditions and outlooks for supply, as well as the potential for solid municipal waste as potential feedstock for renewable energy utilization.

Panel 3: Technology for utilizing forest resources for energy development

Speakers described various energy platforms, including wood to electricity (combustion and gasification) and combined heat and power and the associated emissions controls.


Panel 4: Overview of proposed biomass facility in Shoshone County

Speakers reviewed the proposed facility specifications and considerations, challenges, finance needs, and supply requirements.
