HFHC Capacity Building and Services
HFHC provides a host of services. We have generally lumped them into Capacity Building and Other Services although a lot of these services overlap with one another.
Capacity Building
- Trainings and Workshops: Topics include business planning and development, market strategies, and other technical assistance sessions tailored to Partner needs.
- Financial: Targeted fundraising assistance and support developing financial systems and reporting that are necessary for good fiscal management.
- Business Planning: Prepare feasibility studies of wood product business opportunities, accounting for raw material supply, local capacity, and market potential
- Peer-to-Peer Learning: HFHC brokers, coordinates and helps pay for learning exchanges on topics identified by Partners.
- Collaboration: HFHC increases business capacity by fostering regional collaboration.
Other Services
- Information on financial and capital resources suited to Partner needs
- Access to responsible wood sources through lists of upcoming restoration projects, small private timber sales, and referrals.
- Partnership meetings that allow business and nonprofit Partners to chart the course of the partnership, develop business networks, and receive updates on relevant market research and lessons.
- Ongoing exposure and representation of the HFHC story and partners at regional meetings, conferences, and other events.
