Is it right for my business?

View the FSC CoC Fact Sheet if you're trying to decide if Chain of Custody is a good fit for your business.

Group member eligibility

Membership in the HFHC CoC Group is limited to businesses with less than $5 million gross annual sales of wood products.

This limit is defined by the FSC.  Under the current policy, businesses not meeting the criteria must apply for their own independent CoC certificate.

Group member responsibilities

Each member business is responsible to fufill the responsibilities of maintaining the Chain of Custody as if they held their own certificate.

Group Documents

HFHC has prepared a Group Manual to assist independent businesses in interpreting current FSC Chain of Custody code and to standardize documentation of procedures.  Continue on to FSC CoC Documents for a list of official documents.

Overheard...

“The communities of Lakeview and Paisley would not be engaged in proactive initiatives such as biomass and forest plan participation if it were not for Sustainable Northwest’s early involvement in our processes. We are indebted to SNW for their assistance and continuing partnership.”
