2008 Sustainable Northwest/Lufthansa German Airline Ticket Raffle Rules

  1. How to Enter: To enter the raffle, complete the official entry form on the Sustainable Northwest website.  Tickets are $20 a piece and you may purchase as many tickets as you wish. You may purchase tickets for yourself or for someone else. The name of the purchaser need not match the name of the ticket holder.
  2. Delivery of Tickets: Tickets purchased via the website will be mailed to the address provided on the registration form.  If no address is provided, or if there is not sufficient time to mail tickets before the drawing of the raffle, tickets will be held by Sustainable Northwest and an email with the ticket number(s) will be sent to the purchaser.  
  3. Odds of Winning:  Your chance of winning depends on how many tickets are sold by drawing time. The maximum number of tickets to be sold is 500. The chance for any one ticket to win will not be worse than 1 in 500.
  4. Notification:  If winner is not present at raffle drawing, Sustainable Northwest will make every attempt to contact the winner using the contact information provided by the winner on his/her ticket. 
  5. All raffle ticket purchases are final. There will be no refunds except in the unlikely possibility that the drawing is cancelled. A full refund will then be provided.
  6. The drawing will take place on Friday March 28, 2008 at the Portland International Airport as part of Lufthansa German Airlines 5th anniversary celebration. The winner need not be present at the drawing.
  7. This raffle is conducted in accordance with the rules set forth by the DOJ (Department Of Justice) of the State of Oregon.
  8. Eligibility: The Sustainable Northwest/Lufthansa ticket raffle is open to all persons 18 years and over.  Executive staff members of Sustainable Northwest, and immediate family members, are not eligible to participate in this raffle.
  9. General Conditions: Winners accepting prizes agree that all prizes are awarded on the condition that Sustainable Northwest and its directors, officers, employees and their  immediate family members will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or non-use of the prize.

    All personal income taxes, sales or use taxes, or any other taxes whatsoever are the sole responsibility of the winners.  Tickets offered in this raffle have been donated by the Lufthansa German Airlines.  In the event that the supplier of a prize cannot deliver the prize for any reason whatsoever, the prize will not be awarded and Sustainable Northwest will not have any further obligation to provide that prize.  Tickets are non-transferable.

  10. Ticket Conditions: The award recipient and his/her traveling companion must have the same origin and destination and must travel together at all times.  Award is valid for transportation on “Lufthansa operated flights only until March 28, 2009.  All travel must be completed by March 28, 2009, Award cannot be extended.  Award has not cash value and cannot be sold or bartered.  Reservation can be made within 90 days, but not less than 3 weeks, before your planned date of departure.  Tickets are not upgradeable.  The award recipient will be responsible for all expenses not specifically stated as part of the prize, including but not limited to, any applicable taxes, fees, airport charges and carrier surcharges, local transportation including air or ground transportation from the winner’s home to a Lufthansa USA gateway airport (PDX), income taxes, insurance, passport and visa costs, gratuities, all meals, beverages, incidentals and any items of a personal nature.  Tickets, once issued, cannot be sold, transferred, refunded or changed.  Tickets are not eligible for mileage credit in any program in which Lufthansa participates.  Lufthansa conditions of carriage shall apply.
