Ranching working group topics: Integrated management across ownerships, range health, public lands grazing and monitoring systems, tax reform, payment for ecosystem services as they relate to private lands, especially rangelands; and markets and local processing infrastructure related to ranching and range stewardship enterprises.

The following goals were developed during the Annual Policy Meeting. To learn more about specific working group strategies to achieve these goals please contact the working group chairs.
Goal 1: Promote and create collaborative approaches for ranchland stewardship
Goal 2: Support successful public lands grazing and conservation
Goal 3: Participate in the development of the 2012 Farm Bill
Goal 4: Ensure ranchers have access to and help shape emerging markets for payment for ecosystem services.
Goal 5: Make ranching viable by promoting opportunities for diverse marketing and processing.
Goal 6: Reform tax policies and promote other tools and models, such as easements, that conserve open space and increase public investment in ranching.
