Private Lands working group topics:  Maintaining working forests across private/public landscapes, land owner financial and technical assistance programs, payments for ecosystem services, tax reform, innovative ownership models, and land aggregation and acquisition strategies.

The following goals were developed during the Annual Policy Meeting.  To learn more about specific working group strategies to achieve these goals please contact the working group chairs.

Goal 1: Develop alternative value streams for private landowners 

Goal 2: Protect working lands through easement and acquisition 

Goal 3: Increase capacity for landowner financial and technical assistance

Goal 4: Increase capacity and support for cross-boundary management 

Goal 5: Encourage intergenerational land transfer through tax reform
