Learn more about RVCC

The RVCC is currently comprised of more than 70 western and national non-profit, public, and private organizations. Our partners include rural community advocates, environmentalists, business owners, federal and state land managers and researchers.  See a list of participants, consultants, friends, and researchers in the 2009 RVCC Directory

Membership

RVCC's membership structure has  few formalities. Organizations and individuals participate as members of working groups, by attending the Annual Policy Meeting, various field tours and trips to Washington, D.C. Learn more about what we do.

Leadership

The RVCC Core Group works together to plan and facilitate working groups, meetings, media work, and other activities.  The Core Group is chaired by Sustainable Northwest and is composed of the Watershed Research and Training Center, Wallowa Resources, Ecosystem Workforce ProgramForest Guild, American Forests, Northwest Connections, The National Rural Assembly, The Siuslaw Institute, Inc., and Restore Montana.

Representation

No single organization formally represents the coalition. Instead, RVCC participants speak with a collective voice to convey our shared messages.

Overheard...

“The communities of Lakeview and Paisley would not be engaged in proactive initiatives such as biomass and forest plan participation if it were not for Sustainable Northwest’s early involvement in our processes. We are indebted to SNW for their assistance and continuing partnership.”

Jane O’Keeffe
