Who We Are

Learn more about RVCC

The RVCC is currently comprised of more than 60 western and national non-profit, public, and private organizations. Our partners include rural community advocates, environmentalists, business owners, federal and state land managers and researchers.  See a list of participants, consultants, friends, and researchers in the 2007 RVCC DirectoryRVCC Capitol Map

Membership

RVCC's membership structure has  few formalities. Organizations and individuals participate as members of working groups, by attending the Annual Policy Meeting, various field tours and trips to Washington, D.C. Learn more about what we do.

Leadership

The RVCC Core Group works together to plan and facilitate working groups, meetings, media work, and other activities.  The Core Group is chaired by Sustainable Northwest and is composed of the Watershed Research and Training Center, Wallowa Resources, Ecosystem Workforce Program, Resource Innovations, Forest Guild, American Forests and Northwest Connections .

Representation

No single organization formally represents the coalition. Instead, RVCC participants speak with a collective voice to convey our shared messages.

Overheard...

"Sustainable Northwest is precisely the kind of environmental organization we need for today and tomorrow – one that addresses both environmental and economic challenges and opportunities, one that actively bridges rural and urban interests, for the good of both."

Cecil D. Andrus
Former Idaho Governor and
