2026 Energy Resilience for Local & Tribal Governments Workshop

Register for the 4th annual Energy Resilience for Local & Tribal Governments Workshop, which will be taking place January 27, 2026 from 10:00am - 1:00pm (view the agenda here). During these virtual webinars, we share information about funding for energy resilience planning and project development, connect partners to technical assistance providers, and identify next steps to integrate resilience planning into existing planning processes.

We continue to use this space to survey the needs and vulnerabilities of communities, while increasing capacity across Oregon communities to better respond to and recover from grid disruptions. Programming will include:

  • Plenary Panel Discussion | County & Tribal Energy Resilience Share Out – Approaches, Lessons Learned, and Next Steps;

  • Oregon Public Utilities Commission Microgrid Investigation | Updates and recommendations for community engagement;

  • Breakout #2: Capacity-Building and Technical Assistance programs | National Laboratory of the Rocky’s Energy Technology Innovation Partnership Project (ETIPP) and Energy Navigators offerings;

  • Breakout #3: Exploring Community Resilience Hubs | Effective engagement strategies with community members and county emergency managers in natural hazard mitigation and emergency operations planning;

  • Breakout #4: Energy Resilience 201 | Deep dive into elements of a resilience plan including critical infrastructure mapping, vulnerability assessments, and technological solutions;

  • Breakout #5: Tribal Energy Resilience Approaches | Strategies for Tribal Governments to engage with utilities, state agencies, and regulatory bodies;

  • Breakout #6: Intergovernmental Collaboration in Resilience Planning | How to bring together diverse stakeholders to advance common goals; and,

Who should attend? State, federal, and local government, Tribal Nations and Tribal government staff, special districts, community-based organizations, and others that engage with emergency management, economic development, planning, hazard mitigation planning, sustainability, or energy conservation are encouraged to attend.
