Tools & Skills for Successful Collaboration

We can help train you and your team utilizing the latest sciences and best practices across our areas of expertise.

A group of people sitting on the grass in a forest clearing, listening to a man who appears to be giving a presentation or tour, with tall evergreen trees and a clear blue sky in the background.

Building off our many years of experience supporting forest restoration and navigating partnerships with the Forest Service, our Public Forestlands team has compiled a toolbox of the “Top 10 Skills and Tools for Successful Collaboration”.

This workshop begins with an overview of collaboration and the importance of collaborative partnerships, followed by scenario-based activities that encourage participants to explore how the different tools and skills can be applied to improve working relationships with collaborative stakeholders.

Training objectives:

  • Increase understanding of the relationship between the Forest Service and forest collaboratives and the significance of these partnerships.

  • Learn tools and skills for effective communication with collaborative stakeholders, and develop an awareness for how and when to apply them.
